Diego Forlan completes Internacional move



Internacional have completed the signing of Uruguayan forward Diego Forlan from Milan club Inter.

After a difficult first year at the San Siro where he struggled for consistency, the 33-year-old agreed to terminate his contract in order to pave the way for a move to Brazil.

The club announced the signing on their official website today and Forlan is expected to receive a monthly wage in the region of €165,000.

The Uruguayan will be presented this weekend and could make his debut but may have to wait until the following round of fixtures to make his first appearance when Inter welcome Santos to the Beira-Rio.

Speculation surrounding the futures of both Leandro Damiao and Oscar will now surely mount though both players have previously expressed a desire to stay at the club until the World Cup in 2014. However, the Colorado may now be willing to cash in one of their star youngsters in order to help retain financial balance at the club.
